- Prevents the oxidation of LDL cholesterol, which in turn prevents cardiovascular disease.
- 80% of Vitamin E is lost in the milling of flour and Vitamin E is poorly absorbed (only approximately 40% of the dietary intake is absorbed).
- Vitamin E also has effects on inflammation, blood cell regulation, connective tissue growth, and genetic control of cell division.
- Works synergistically with antioxidant enzymes in the body to enhance and support the immune system.
- Has an anti-inflammatory action due to its effect on prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis.
- Regulates the production of reproductive hormones and protects the mucus membranes of the reproductive organs.
- Helps to prevent elevated scar tissue.
- Prevents the oxidation of lung mucus membranes by damaging pollution and toxins.
- Regulates Vitamin A metabolism.
- Maintains the health of muscle cell membranes.
- Assists the flow of blood to prevent clotting and improves the health and strength of blood vessels and capillaries
- Protective of the cell membranes of the skin
