Sea salt

Obtained by evaporating seawater, sea salt is used in cooking and cosmetics. It is historically called bay salt and is high in mineral content giving sea salt a different taste from table salt (which, in contrast, is pure sodium chloride, usually refined from mined rock salt. Sea salt is commonly used in gourmet cooking and premium potato chips.
